Graduate/Junior Recruitment Consultant


O’Neill & Brennan are looking to grow our team and have a fantastic new position available.

You will have access to all clients both Main Contractor and Developer.  

The Graduate Recruitment Consultant role is focused on candidate generation and Account management whilst working with a Senior Consultant of the business. The Senior Consultant will support and guide you along the way to train you to become a Senior Consultant yourself and hopefully beyond that.

As a Graduate/Junior Recruitment Consultant, your duties will include:

  • Proactively search, attract and shortlist candidates using all necessary tools available including online job boards and updates on job adverts.
  • Initiate and manage candidate and client relationships, often through visiting sites and also on the phone, understanding their requirements and needs.
  • Determine suitability and qualify candidates
  • Proactively identify, chase and progress new business opportunities through site visits and telephone calls to build relationships with clients.

What to expect

  • You'll work in an office environment, but will frequently travel to sites or offices for face-to-face meetings with clients and other business partners often on site.
  • Business development meeting clients and gaining new business opportunities to bring to your desk.
  • When more senior you may have the responsibility of managing a team.

  The successful candidate will require:

  • A confident, ambitious and tenacious attitude is essential. You will be doing many site visits a week to meet new clients so need to be confident in front of people.
  • Excellent telephone manner, comfortable talking to new and existing candidates/clients. Being on the phone for long periods of the day this role is required.
  • Resilient and driven with the determination to achieve targets
  • Self-motivated, dependable and hard-working
  • Ability to use own initiative
