Junior Accountant

Naas, Co. Kildare, Ireland

We currently wish to recruit a Junior Accountant/PA for our well established Client in the Naas Area. This is a Full Time Permanent Position with an Immediate Start. Salary (DOE).


Junior Accountant; Provide financial information by maintaining and reconciling accounts; preparing/presenting reports.

Personal Assistant; you will work closely with senior managerial or directorial staff to provide administrative support, usually on a one-to-one basis. You will help a manager to make the best use of their time by dealing with secretarial and administrative tasks.


Junior Accountant

  • Prepare and reconcile key control accounts to support the month end accounts cycle
  • Prepare and reconcile bank accounts
  • Month End posting of recurring journals, prepayments and accrual
  • Assist the Financial Accountant with preparation of year-end audit file
  • Undertake variance analysis and ad hoc reporting as required
  • Assist the Accounts Clerk
  • Payroll
  • Invoicing/Statements

Personal Assistant

  • Devising and maintaining office systems, including data management and filing;
  • Arranging travel, visas and accommodation and, occasionally, travelling with the manager to take notes or dictation at meetings or to provide general assistance during presentations;
  • Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate;
  • Meeting and greeting visitors at all levels of seniority;
  • Organising and maintaining diaries and making appointments;
  • Dealing with incoming email, faxes and post, often corresponding on behalf of the manager;
  • Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations;
  • Organising and attending meetings and ensuring the manager is well prepared for meetings;
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff.


  • Experience preparing accounts to trial balance stage
  • Experience in Sage Accounts Production, Sage 50 or similar
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and an analytical approach
  • Mathematical Skillset
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel required, computer literate
  • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Proven ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Be highly organized and adaptable to change under pressure
  • Experience in using ROS and Online Banking
  • Administrative Skills
  • Excellent Listening and Communication Skills


Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

2+ years’ related experience
