O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting for a Senior Estimator on behalf of our Client. Our client is a leading construction company who specialise in infrastructure & fit outs, with various ongoing projects across the country.

This is a full time, permeant role based in our clients head office in Dublin. The successful candidate must have minimum of 8+ years’ experience in an estimating role. Experience in estimating within the Construction / Building sector or similar related fields would be highly beneficial.

Senior Estimator responsibilities include:

• Preparing and collating tenders by a given deadline based on the scope of work, plans, specification, BOQ’s, schedules and inspections.
• Analysing sub-contractor quotations and checking inclusions and exclusions
• Liaising with clients, design team, sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Liaising with engineering design team members and civil works estimators.
• File tender documentation in accordance with the company procedure and attend handover meeting to brief the construction team.

Senior Estimator Requirements:

• Third level qualification in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Previous estimating experience with a main contractor desired.
• Knowledge of Conquest estimating software would be an advantage
• Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Word, and ideally some experience of Microsoft Project and an estimating software system.
• Good knowledge of engineering contracts, relevant legislation and standards.
