O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting for an Electrical Estimator on behalf of our Client, a leading Engineering company.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience working as Electrical Estimator and have a good understanding of the industry. This is a full-time, permanent job based in County Kildare.

Electrical Estimator Responsibilities:

  • Determining the electrical needs of the project. 
  • Drawing the outline and blueprints for the said electrical system. 
  • Placing the utility, workstation, and other fixtures as per the specifications. 
  • Understanding and interpreting the blueprints. 
  • Reviewing the plan to estimate the length of electrical wire. 
  • Identifying the cost and time constraints. 
  • Determining the labor requirements for completing the project. 
  • Working in coordination with Contractors and other team members. 
  • Maintaining electrical cost database. 
  • Performing calculations of various profitability solutions. 
  • Negotiating with the suppliers and vendors. 
  • Maintaining a healthy relationship with the vendors. 
  • Identifying the risk involved in the project. 
  • Completing the project bids as per the guidelines. 
  • Adhering to all the electrical rules and regulations. 

Electrical Estimator Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 
  • Working experience as an Electrical Estimator, Electrical Engineer, or a similar role in Construction industry. 
  • A valid electrician license. 
  • Excellent analytics skills. 
  • Ability to pay a close eye to detail for accuracy. 
  • Ability to solve complex problems in an efficient manner. 
  • Sound organizational and time management skills. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually. 
  • Ability to check multiple data sources. 
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
