O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting for a Finance Administrator for our Client, a well-known international company with various ongoing projects across Ireland and Europe.

This is a North Dublin based role and successful Candidate will assist the Finance & Accounting Manager to ensure the company is fully compliant with tax obligations; to fulfil all the mandatory accounting principles in a timely manner; to act as the financial safeguard of the firm.

Finance Administrator Responsibilities include: 

  • Responsible for the Accounts payable function for all entities: Subcontractors, Suppliers, Consultants, Services etc.
  • Ensure that the supplier invoices and subcontractor certifications adhere to the fully established internal processes before pay run.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement Department to match dockets and/or PO’s to the issued invoices.
  • Ensure that accounting records are maintained in accordance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Promote consistent awareness and follow up on all possible liabilities to ensure the financial wellbeing of the company.
  • Coordinate with all departments, ensure timely month end closing to guarantee accurate data input
  • Weekly Bank and Costing Reconciliations.
  • Implement and mastering the company´s software programme (COINS) to meet the current demands of the company.
  • Complete and file all statutory returns via Revenue Online Services (ROS)
  • Oversee and maintain crucial hard and soft copy files of crucial account information for impending possible audit, internal or external.
  • Be the main contact with Auditors, responsible for processing and presenting the necessary information for the annual Financial Statements
  • Leading and preparing the Annual Official Trial Balance that will be subject to internal and external accountability.

 Finance Administrator Requirements include:

  • Business and Accounting qualification
  • Minimum 2 years accounting experience
  • Experience in construction industry.
  • Experience using COINS would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of VAT, RCT, Corporate Tax.
  • Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Skills in database management and record keeping.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines set, to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
