We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for the final in two separate categories for the upcoming 2017 London Construction Awards. The categories are for 'Marketing Initiative of the Year' and 'Technological Innovation of the Year'. Being shortlisted for the LCA awards shows the significant progress O’Neill & Brennan have made over the past 12 months, both internally and externally, and is a credit to all involved.

We are extremely proud to have been shortlisted for the final, especially considering the number of entrants for these particular awards and the calibre of companies we were up against. The awards ceremony will take place at the Royal Garden Hotel on the 25th October 2017; an evening that will be attended by 400+ movers and shakers from across the London construction industry. The ceremony will feature a world class array of live entertainment, music, fine food & beverages and also includes a comedy set from this year’s hostess, Katherine Ryan.

Our first submission for marketing initiative of the year can be accredited to the development of our Recruitment Beacons digital solution. Essentially, these Beacons give us a national reach and a local presence; we are able to employ local people in the area surrounding any project rather than operating and advertising purely from our regional offices. We use IP tracking, mobile location, and radius advertising to ensure that local operatives will be more likely to register and clients will have access to a local labour pool which equates to greater reliability and improved relationships with communities. Our aim is to have a Beacon based at every project we work on to ensure a local presence which will benefit our clients, our candidates, local communities and the industry as a whole.

Our second submission for Technological innovation of the year is down to the creation of our two bespoke in-house developed software packages. The two software developments are:

1.Delivery Management System (DMS, titled O&B Synergy)

2. Waste Notification System (WNS).

The O’Neill & Brennan Delivery Management System is a fully customisable software package for every type of construction project. It can be easily adapted to suit different phases of a project; it can have multiple users for multiple subcontractors and suppliers to form a complete delivery booking system. O’Neill & Brennan as part of their logistics offering have also developed a digital Waste Notification System. This allows all Contractor staff to issue notices or the Logistics Management team to issue notices.

These nominations further emphasise O'Neill & Brennan’s commitment to being an innovative & sustainable company. We look forward to finding out whether we have won the awards at the ceremony on the 25th of October.
