The Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) has introduced an online compliance test to assess an agency's knowledge of the relevant industry legislation and the REC Code of Professional Practice (REC Code).

To pass the test, agencies must achieve at least 80% and answer all 'red flag' questions correctly (these are essential questions that must be answered correctly to pass the test and apply to those who place workers, or who work with vulnerable persons.

Existing members have to pass the Compliance Test every two years in order to renew their membership. Only recruitment agencies that demonstrate they are fully compliant with the law and higher ethical standards demanded by the REC Code, are able to remain members and use the REC logo. That is why taking and passing the Compliance Test is so important.

We are delighted to announce that O'Neill & Brennan successfully passed the compliance test yesterday. In doing this we have demonstrated that we have an understanding of the REC's Code of Professional Practice and relevant legislation, particularly the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Empployment Business Regulations 2003 and amendments (the Conduct Regulations).
