Site Engineer – North Kildare
Salary: €60K – €75K

They are invested in the importance of green energy and operate multiple projects with engagement with all relevant stakeholders to prepare detailed masterplans. Due to increased business growth, they are seeking a Site Engineer.
Job Summary:
We are recruiting for a Site Engineer for our Client. This is a permanent, full-time position and would be best suited to an ambitious, goal-oriented Site Engineer. The successful candidate will join their team in North Kildare and reporting directly to the Senior Management.
Your responsibilities will be as below:
Key Responsibilities:
Three main areas of responsibility:
- 1. Site Set Out
- Carry out surveys for record and set out for sub-contractors (to include gridlines & levels for RC frame, foundation, floor slab, building services, site services, house plots, boundaries etc.)
- Liaise with Design Team (Architect, Civil and Structural Engineer, M&E etc) to resolve on site design queries.
- Review and comment on drawings, raising RFI’s as necessary.
- 2. Site Quality Control – Checks & Specification
- Coordinate site drawings
- Perform continuous inspections and quality audits to evaluate and ensure quality of sub-contractor works and that specifications are adhered to.
- Ensure issues are raised and resolved in a timely manner.
- Engage with Site Foreman to prepare Technical Submittals and take the lead in obtaining agreement of Design Team.
- Record approvals and ensure correct installation through construction.
- Lead technical submittals, benchmarks and inspection management.
- 3. Site Records & Quantities
- Understand project programme, weekly reporting of same.
- Actively intervene and participate in project monitoring to prevent project delays.
- Keep records of works completed on site to assist with claims/invoicing.
- Understand outputs of each trade and highlight where trades are falling behind and reasons for same.
- Provide assistance during handover (including snagging, as built documentation, preparation of Safety File etc)
- Documentation management including inspection and reporting records.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant engineering qualification is required.
- RC frame experience is essential.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience.
- Experience working with a main contractor in Ireland and/or UK
- Residential projects experience is essential.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation is required.
- Experience in Microsoft office & other computer programmes
- Good team player
