O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer for our Client, a well-known international company with various ongoing projects across Ireland and Europe.
This is a Dublin based permanent role.
Site Engineer Responsibilities include:
- Carry out basic setting out on site.
- Survey the completed works and prepare as built records to ensure works are within tolerance.
- Prepare drawing packs for Block-layers/ground-workers showing builders opens for services.
- Establishing datum levels across the site for the ground-worker.
- Carry out day to day safety inspections and photograph all work areas to ensure works are carried out in accordance with the safety documentation.
- Carry out quality inspections with Senior Engineer as per PIP and record onto BIM 360.
- Maintain waste management records as per the Waste Management Plan.
- Maintain SR21 records as per the SR21 Method Statement.
- Carry out concrete testing as per the concrete method statement and ITP. Record cube results and log onto BIM 360.
- Carry out stone sampling and record results.
- Carry out block sampling as per ITP.
- Maintain weekly records on Statutory H&S Forms
- Carry out as built surveys for record purposes on built structures and on any utilities found in the ground.
- Daily Site Diary-recording weather, ground conditions, visitors to site, major deliveries, turnstile in/out log and keep a photographic record of the daily whiteboard meetings.
- Carry out daily site inductions in absence of senior management.
- Record all delivery dockets and return to head office weekly.
Site Engineer Requirements include:
- 3rd level qualification in Engineering or Construction Management.
- 2-3 years’ experience post studies; preferably on residential projects
- Good understanding of QA aspects in construction.
- Must be able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a keen learner and willing to take his/her own initiative.
