Construction Quality Control Engineer – Ballsbridge

Overview:

Our client, a main contractor with projects across Ireland, is seeking a Construction Quality Control Engineer in Dublin. The successful candidate will report to the MEP Lead, ensuring quality assurance across all construction and engineering phases, compliance with project and industry standards, and supporting inspections, audits, and continuous improvement to foster a culture of accountability on site.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain the Quality Management Plan, ensuring compliance with standards, client expectations, and subcontractor plans.
• Conduct inspections and audits to verify work meets design, specification, and procedural requirements.
• Manage quality documentation, including test plans, method statements, and records.
• Track non-conformances and ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed.
• Provide technical support, promote best practices, and support commissioning and handover.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and teams, preparing reports and ensuring alignment on quality and accountability.

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in a quality or site-based engineering role.
• Relevant safety training (e.g. Safe Pass, CSCS or equivalent)
• Professional membership or certification in Quality (e.g. CQI, IRCA or equivalent)
• Training in internal auditing, ISO 9001, or quality system management.
