Setting Out Engineer – Donaghmeade

Salary: €40K – €50K

Company Overview:

A leading Building and Civil Engineering Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects throughout Ireland. They delivered projects in Residential, Commercial, Healthcare, Education and Civil engineering sectors covering projects from minor building refurbishment works to major construction projects. Due to increased business growth, they are seeking a Setting Out Engineer.

Job Summary:

We are recruiting for a Setting Out Engineer for our Client. This is a permanent, full-time position, it would be best suited to an ambitious, goal oriented Setting Out Engineer. The successful candidate will join their team in Donaghmeade and reporting directly to the Senior Management.

Your responsibilities will be as below:

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out, levelling and surveying the site,
• Check plans and drawings to ensure all calculations are accurate,
• Providing progress reports for the site management team & clients,
• Regular use of AutoCAD to check on site dimensions,
• Taking levels for the construction of a structural steel frame, finishing concrete, drainage services and roadways etc.
• Liaising with sub-contractors & site managers
• Ensure all health & safety procedures are maintained

Qualification and Experience:

• Degree in Engineering or Land surveying is required,
• 2-3 years’ experience in setting out on construction sites,
• Experience working on housing / residential / apartments projects desired,
• Experienced in the use of instruments (total station, GPS)
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
