A well-established privately owned company with over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry. They provide building services in the commercial, industrial, education, conservation, residential sectors in partnership with both government bodies and private clients.

Job Summary:

We are recruiting a Junior Setting out Engineer for our client. This is a full-time position, suited to an experienced, ambitious and highly motivated Junior Setting out Engineer, who will be reporting to the Senior Site Engineer. The successful candidate will be covering couple of sites at a time in Kildare area.

Your responsibilities are as below:

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out, levelling and surveying a construction site
• Working with site plans, drawings and building information models
• Mapping structural boundaries on the ground using pegs and markers
• Liaising with designers and engineers to ensure plans and drawings are accurate
• Overseeing quality control
• Monitoring health and safety
• Keeping a site diary
• Resolving technical problems

Experience & Qualifications:

• Relevant engineering qualifications/degree are required.
• Experience working with a main contractor in Ireland and/or UK
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation is required. 
• Knowledge of buildings and construction
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to interpret detail plans
• Good spatial awareness.
• Full drivers license
