Senior Quantity Surveyor – Dublin

DOE: €100K – €130K + Package  

Overview:

Our client, an established main contractor delivering projects across Ireland, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a project in Dublin. The successful candidate will work closely with the commercial and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery, manage risk, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to maximise commercial returns.

Responsibilities:

• Implement commercial strategy and support the Senior and Main QS functions across projects.
• Prepare tenders, select and negotiate with subcontractors, and manage financial and commercial aspects to Final Account completion.
• Maintain site records, document control, site measurements, and assist with forecasts, targets, and CV reconciliations.
• Prepare valuations and variations with proper documentation, updating projected Final Accounts in a timely manner.
• Liaise with and commercially challenge the site management team, protecting contractual entitlements and managing risks, opportunities, insurances, and cash.
• Manage and oversee Assistant and Trainee QS, ensuring quality of work and involvement in maintaining site records and document control.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Construction or a related field.
• Knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial principles
• Strong letter and report writing skills
• Negotiation experience
• Experience with CVRs (Contract Value Reviews)
• 2-day Safety Appreciation training
• Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIOB)
