Company Overview:
An Irish owned family business that has been offering clients all over Munster the highest quality and reliability in professional building contracting for many years.
Due to continued business growth, they are currently looking to recruit a Finishing Foreman.
Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced and motivated Finishing Foreman for our client.
- The position is a full-time, temporary role working on a new build residential project.
- This role would be ideally suited to a driven, ambitious and enthusiastic candidate who will report to the Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attending weekly Management Team meetings
- Maintaining the Site Diary
- Liaising with colleagues and clients
- Overseeing project schedules and ensuring working is completed on time
- Monitoring budgets to avoid overspend
- Supervising construction workers and subcontractors
- Reporting on project progress to senior managers and stakeholders
- Conducting quality and safety inspections
- Ensuring work is finished to the agreed standards
- Maintaining quality control checks
- Coordinating teams
- Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise
- Signing off and handing completed work over to the client.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Trades background
- Min 5+ years’ experience
- Experience working on residential and commercial projects.
- Knowledge of building and construction
- Good communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Understanding of site health and safety
- Time management skills
- Leadership abilities
- Logical thinking and problem solving.
