A leading tier-1 Main Contractor with various ongoing projects. Due to continued business growth, they are seeking an experienced Estimator.
Job Summary:
- We are recruiting for an Estimator for our Client.
- This is a fulltime, permanent position, it would be best suited to an experienced and motivated Estimator.
- The successful candidate will join their Team in Cork and report to the management team.
Your duties will be as below:
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and collating accurate, detailed and timely tenders based on drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and other information so as to secure profitable work orders. Sourcing subcontractor and supplier quotations, analysing information for ambiguity, risk and qualification and seeking clarification where necessary.
- The successful candidate will assist in the ongoing development of systems and procedures used in tendering and will keep up to date with contractual changes and other developments in the construction industry.
- They will work both in a team and on their own initiative and will have excellent IT skills include familiarity with MS office applications including Excel and a QS or related package.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Quantity surveying or Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an estimating role.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office & QS related package
- Must have knowledge of civil engineering contracts, relevant legislation & standards.
