Bid Manager - Oxford

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bid Manager / Bid Coordinator to join our clients team at their Oxford Regional Office. This role is crucial in driving our business growth by managing and coordinating the bid process for new projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality bids that reflect commitment to ambitious spaces and flawless delivery.

 

Role:

  • Lead, manage and contribute significantly to tender submissions, PQQ’s and EOI’s.
  • Working closely with the allocated tender team to prepare, coordinate, respond and submit compelling tender proposals
  • Form productive relationships with key managers within each business unit effectively gathering data to support the production of high quality, substantiated PQQ/tender/bid answers, including capturing examples of local best practice, initiatives, successes and the like
  • Undertake a detailed review of the EOI, PQQ, tender and bid documents, with particular reference to the bid requirements and scoring criteria and formulate a bid strategy.
  • Write compelling answers to bid questions to the highest standard, with reference to the scoring criteria contained within the bid documentation
  • Creatively prepare visually compelling proposals
  • Creatively design PQQ / tender submission documents with the support of the wider tender team.
  • Combine use of software, graphics and photos to enhance the delivery of the tender proposals.
  • Collaboratively work with the tender team to ensure all key elements of the bid are incorporated into the submissions.

 

Ideal experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of successfully bidding and participating within regional and/or national frameworks 
  • Working in varying sectors within construction, but must include education, healthcare and defence
  • Framework delivery methods and requirements, and forms of contract, including design and build, two stage negotiated projects.
  • Familiar with public methods of procurement
  • Have competence in IT skills, especially Microsoft products Word, Publisher, PowerPoint & Excel
  • Competency / experience in using Adobe InDesign
  • Ability to prepare submissions for projects up to £30m
