By giving environmental considerations equal importance to traditional business issues, O'Neill & Brennan is committed to carrying out activities in a manner that meets the needs of the present without compromising the quality of life of future generations.

Reducing Carbon Emissions

O’Neill & Brennan recognise that reducing carbon emissions from our business operations is critical to the industry and all our stakeholders. We are committed to achieving Net Zero and have started a process to establish how we will do this in line with, and ideally ahead of, accepted Science Based Targets.

We have set ambitious targets and our office infrastructure, while not our biggest impact area, is an obvious target for us to reduce emissions and carbon intensity.

Company Fleet

Our policy is to reduce our company fleet wherever possible and promote the use of public transport. When public transport isn't feasible, we are committed to transitioning to an all-electric fleet.

We recognise that "last-mile" journeys for smaller deliveries can disproportionately impact emissions and contribute to site congestion. To address this, we have successfully implemented off-site material consolidation, using sustainable delivery and collection methods for our sites.

Following positive results, we aim to extend this approach to more clients after thorough evaluation and completion.

Paper Usage

At O’Neill & Brennan, we are committed to reducing our environmental footprint by minimising paper consumption across all areas of our business. To achieve this, we have adopted a digital-first approach, prioritising electronic documentation and communication to reduce the need for printed materials. Where paper usage is unavoidable, we ensure that only recycled and sustainably sourced paper is used.

We actively promote a culture of responsible paper use among our employees by encouraging double-sided printing, reusing paper and reducing unnecessary printouts. Through these efforts, we aim to continually lower our paper consumption and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Promise IT to Rehab Recycle

O'Neill & Brennan has partnered with Promise IT to Rehab Recycle. This is a corporate donations programme which facilitates companies in the secure donation of IT equipment to schools, charities and community groups.

How does this work? Our surplus or unused IT equipment that is no longer in use is donated, they are then securely wiped of all the data rebuillt using a Microsoft Operating System, cleaned, polished and delivered to its new home so it can begin its second life.
