A recent string of residential developments in Cavan town has prompted the company in charge of Ireland’s water network to kick-start plans for “major upgrade” works in the county town.
Uisce Éireann bosses have announced moves to embark on a substantial mains upgrade to the south of Cavan town which, it says, will unlock capacity for the development of new housing over the coming years.
Close to 2kms of new mains is expected to be laid as part of a programme of works that is due to get underway next week.
