A planning application has been lodged with Wicklow County Council for the construction of a 29-home development on a site in Rathdrum town centre that was previously granted approval for a 126-bed nursing home.
Submitted by Rathdrum Homes Limited, the application seeks permission for the construction of 19 two-storey terraced houses (seven two-beds and 12 three-beds) and 10 duplex apartments in two two-storey blocks of six one-beds and four two-beds on a 0.61-hectare site at Brewery Lane and Back Lane, zoned for town centre development and specifically including the provision of housing.
The plans also include vehicular access from Back Lane and pedestrian access from Back Lane, Brewery Lane, and to the adjoining Primary Care Centre car park, along with 29 car parking spaces, two accessible parking spaces and 26 cycle spaces.
