A construction company has been given the go-ahead to build 30 houses and complete an estate that remained unfinished since the 2008 ‘construction crash’.

De Bhal Construction Ltd has been granted conditional planning permission to construct 30 houses at the Rahin Towers estate in Ballylinan.

Documents enclosed with the planning application state that “the scheme completes the final undeveloped parcel within the existing Rahin Towers estate and represents a significant upgrade to the public realm, including the removal of redundant hammerheads and the comprehensive re-landscaping of open spaces to create a high-quality, integrated neighbourhood.”
