The €1.3bn Greater Dublin Drainage (GDD) Project will go ahead after Uisce Éireann announced it had reached a settlement in judicial review proceedings.
The project had been held up by a judicial review initiated in the High Court, but construction will now go ahead from early next year.
Seen as a crucial project for the delivery of new homes in Dublin into the future, planning permission for the project was granted in July.
