Fingal County Council has announced that construction has begun on a new cultural centre in the town of Swords that will include a 165-seat theatre, a new library, an art gallery, arts spaces, arts and theatre office spaces, a maker space and a café.
The Swords Cultural Quarter, located on North Street near the town centre and Swords Castle, is scheduled to open in the first half of 2027. As part of the overall development, thirty-six new homes will also be built on adjoining Seatown Road.
