Construction on a crucial piece of underground wastewater infrastructure that will help to provide thousands of new homes in Galway city will get underway this week.
Uisce Éireann is beginning works on a major new underground wastewater storage tank at Merlin Park to the east of Galway city.
The upgrade will provide an urgently needed increase in the capacity of Galway’s wastewater network and unlock significant growth and development on the east side of the city, including the delivery of essential housing.
