Progress on a new community centre in Galway has seen a major step forward this week.
Construction on the Newcastle Community Centre in Galway city has been earmarked to start in May after formal approval was granted to progress to the Tender Stage.
The update was announced by Councillor Eddie Hoare, who called it “brilliant news” for the area.
The development was approved in November last year after being five decades in the making.
