Construction activity fell for the third successive month in November despite improvements in housing work and new orders.

The latest BNP Paribas Real Estate Ireland Construction PMI found that higher new orders encouraged firms to increase staff levels and purchasing activity, and input costs rose sharply.

The total activity index returned a reading of 47.5 last month, down from 49.4 in October, indicating that construction activity is falling at a higher pace.
