The €19 million redevelopment of a Galway City tourist attraction has kicked off this week.
Works are now underway on the enhancement of the Galway City Museum after a €12.6 million contribution from Fáilte Ireland.
The new three-storey project, with a new incredible elevated view of Spanish Arch for visitors, will see state-of-the-art new exhibitions being held; learning spaces and improved accessibility.
Speaking about the redevelopment, GCC said it was a “major investment in Galway’s cultural future”.
