QA/QC Co-ordinator - Athlone

Overview:
A main contractor is seeking an experienced QA/QC Coordinator to support the delivery of high-quality construction works on a pharmaceutical project in Athlone.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure works comply with approved procedures
- Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, consultants and client representatives to ensure quality expectations are achieved
- Implement and maintain the approved quality management plan across all project phases
- Plan, coordinate and participate in internal and external quality audits during project execution
- Manage all quality documentation, including forms, certifications, test records and inspection reports
- Ensure effective implementation of the quality plan including follow up on post execution technical checks
- Participate in project risk assessments, including general site assessments
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with quality standards
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline
- 3+ years’ experience in a QA/QC or site-based construction role with a main contractor.
- Strong understanding of construction quality systems, ITPs, and inspection processes.
- Experience in internal auditing or quality assurance processes.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Valid Safe Pass and relevant site safety training (e.g. CSCS or equivalent).
- Strong attention to detail with good communication and reporting skills.
