Procurement Manager - Meath

DOE: €65k - €70k

 

Overview:

O’Neill & Brennan are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Manager on behalf of our client, to join their team in County Meath. The successful candidate will develop and oversee all procurement processes and ensure all purchasing activities align with company procedures and business objectives while delivering best value.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering best-practice procurement of plant and materials.
  • Liaise with QS and Finance teams on cost control and reporting.
  • Carry out monthly stock takes and report valuations to QS.
  • Support preparation of monthly QS reports and maintain pricing documentation.
  • Manage procurement schedules, purchase orders, and supplier credit limits.
  • Oversee material and equipment procurement in line with project budgets and schedules.
  • Maintain site asset register and ensure compliance with BCAR requirements (DOP documentation).
  • Source, negotiate, and manage supplier and manufacturer relationships to secure best value.
  • Monitor market pricing to ensure cost competitiveness and drive procurement improvements.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in residential and/or commercial construction within the Irish construction industry.
  • CIPS/CPSM/CSCP Diploma in Purchasing & Procurement (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of building construction and procurement/cost systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, multitask, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
