Senior Town Planner - Co. Kildare (1827)

Our client is a well-established Property Development & Management Company with a strong focus on residential and commercial developments in the Greater Dublin Area.

The successful candidate will cover all aspects of the planning process to ensure projects progress from initial feasibility stage through the planning process to construction and completion as smoothly as possible. The role will include carrying out on-site appraisals, planning applications, liaising with Local Authorities and consultants, aiding in the appeal process and conducting research making sure that all projects are within regulation and planning legislation. This is a rare opportunity to work with a team of friendly and dynamic individuals within a thriving company.

Primary Responsibilities as a Senior Town Planner

  • Negotiate development proposals with local authorities and others.
  • Review local and national planning policy.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals.
  • Attend meetings with clients, local authorities.
  • Undertake site visits as required.
  • Deliver projects on time and in budget.
  • Understand and implement new technologies and software

As a Senior Town Planner you will have

  • Relevant Town Planning Degree.
  • Working towards full membership of the IPI and/or RTPI.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • An excellent communicator, with strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience in project management with particular emphasis on residential development
  • Team management and budget experience
  • Possess strong attention to detail.
  • A creative and original thinker, able to create solutions that satisfy all parties.
  • Able to demonstrate good analytical and IT skills.
  • Possess a clean driving licence and have access to a car.
