HSEQ Manager – London – Residential Developer - £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.

An experienced HSEQ Manager is sought for a private residential developer based in Northwest London. This developer are a relatively new player within the industry, they have increased their investment year on year. With an excellent management team and land buying department they have rapidly expanded their portfolio of upcoming work. Their current order book contains developments in London up to £80 million as well as mixed commercial and residential developments in excess of £100 million

The HSEQ Manager will be expected to create and implement standards and compliance across health & safety, environment and quality. Reporting directly to the board, the HSEQ Manager will need a wealth of construction experience and knowledge. This will be a challenging but rewarding role with the Manager being required to work independently. There will be the opportunity to form their own team in the future.   

The key functions of the role are as follows:

  • Monitor, develop and implement SHEQ systems to ensure standards, performance and legal compliance are of the highest calibre
  • Provide support, professional guidance and advice on safe working practices and procedures
  • Carry out regular site visits and audits to ensure full compliance across the group
  • Keep abreast of changes in industry standards and legislation
  • Make consistent use of the guidelines, processes, checklists and forms including RAMs and Method Statements
  • Develop training programmes for all staff members
  • Create site waste management plans and ensure compliance with environmental legislation and client specifications
