Health and Safety
Health & Safety Introduction
O Neill & Brennan recognise the paramount importance of Health & Safety in construction today and aim to continually improve our record in this regard.
O'Neill & Brennan's Commitment to H&S
We believe that we are the most pro active of all recruitment agencies in training up staff and managing accidents that do occur.
We ensure that:
- Health & Safety is the first item on all internal monthly meetings.
- Training and appropriate legislative information is provided to staff at all levels.
- All operatives have current Safepass/CSCS qualification which has been validated and a copy kept on file in our offices.
- Machine drivers, etc. have current CPCS certification which has been validated and a copy kept on file in our office.
- Expiry dates on all cards are flagged three months in advance.
- All operatives taken on have an adequate understanding of the English language.
- Operatives are given a general safety induction by our managers prior to starting on site.
- Operatives receive a copy of our safety booklet which we have made available in English, Polish, Latvian and Lithuanian.
- A day one review is carried out with the site manager to check that a site specific safety induction has been given by the contractor and that the operative is compliant with the Health & Safety rules of that site.
- Prior to starting on site operatives are checked for personal protective equipment. Hard hats, high viz vests and steel toe capped safety boots are provided as required.
